Yucca

Resilient yuccas are evergreen perennials (some tree-like), from arid regions of North and Central America. For UK gardeners they are relatively low-maintenance, with their often upright, sword-like leaves and showy flower stems with creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers. Some will stay as rosettes, compact and close to the ground, others will develop a trunk-like stem, providing more height and diverse forms. Handle with care. Harmful if eaten.
