Succisella

Similar to Scabiosa, sun or part-shade loving perennials for any fertile soil, producing numerous branching stems, with many heads of lilac-blue flowers, often later in the year.

All scabiouses of this and related genera are among the most attractive plants to bumblebees, honeybees, solitary bees and hoverflies, as well as a range of mid- to late-summer butterflies, including skippers and browns among the showier small tortoiseshells and red admirals.
