We take great care to propagate plants following Beth's methods. These include growing from seed, cuttings, and division. Beth had very strict ways of doing things and our propagation team follow her instructions to the letter.

Raoulia

Minute plants from New Zealand forming ground hugging mats of tiny leaves. Full sun and a sharply drained soil. Best protected from winter wet.

The numerous small flowers that make up the flowerheads of all Raoulia species are attractive to pollinating insects, including especially bumblebees and hoverflies. The flowerheads may be small, and barely rise above the ground, but produced en masse they form a useful wildlife plant on a scree garden. In addition the dense, mat-like or mounded form serves both to conserve water and to give shelter to soil invertebrates.
