Lonicera

Honeysuckles are more known for their range of climbers, laden with showy scented flowers, followed by red or black berries. Best grown in full sun, but if in part shade, they will scramble up and find their way into a sunny position. Native across the North Hemisphere, with lesser known, but equally interesting trees and shrubs, like L. maackii, L. tatarica and L. involucrata. There are also several invaluable evergreen shrubs, once L. nitida and L. pileata, which are now combined under L. ligustrina!
