Acis

Acis was previously included in the genus Leucojum, but has now been separated, in part, as the tepals are unmarked. They differ from Galanthus as the tepals are equal in length, whereas with snowdrops the three inner tepals are shorter. Around 10 species, through the Mediterranean, generally delicate nodding white flowers and fine foliage.

Although the flowers have pollen that is taken by some insects, the flowers are rather few and so of lower value mostly when compared to a range of other nectar sources.
