Ceanothus

Californian lilacs are spread across most of North and Central America (around 60 species), but most are endemic to California, hence their common name. Evergreen and deciduous shrubs and trees, low and spreading, to upright. Flowers typically blue through white, occasionally pink.  Full sun and good drainage are a must.
