Acinos

The latin name Acinos is derived from akinos which Greek botanist Dioscorides used to describe a small fragrant plant. There may be around 10 species found in Europe and Asia, however this genus is sometimes merged into Calamintha but is now part of Clinopodium.ll of which are a valuable source of nectar and pollen to a range of pollinators over an extended summer season.
