Lithodora

3 species from the Mediterranean, perennials, typically blue flowers and in the family Boraginaceae.

As with all members of the borage family, the flowers of Lithodora are tubular, which restricts access to the nectar to the longer-tongued pollinators, such as certain bumblebees and bee-flies. The hard seeds are nutlets that are taken by seed-eating birds, such as finches and sparrows, and the cushion-like foliage of some species gives shelter to invertebrates in a rock garden.

Some Lithodora have now been renamed under Glandora.
