Hormathophylla

Previously many of these were called Alyssum, with 4-petalled yellow or white flowers, often evergreen perennials or sub-shrubs. Native to western parts of Europe and North Africa.

The flowers are very attractive to bumblebees, honeybees and pollen-beetles, while the compact mounds of foliage help conserve moisture and provide shelter for ground-dwelling invertebrates.
