Zigadenus

The star-like flowers of Zigadenus and related genera have paired nectar-producing glands (often coloured) in the middle of the petals, that serve to attract small bees, flies and wasps in particular; the exposed anthers are also food for those insects that can digest pollen (especially beetles and hoverflies).
