After flowering how do I prepare the bulbs for planting outside for next year

Do not cut the leaves back too early. Wait until the foliage turns yellow and withers naturally (usually 4–6 weeks after flowering). Cutting too early weakens next year’s flowers. You can gently remove the spent flower stems and plant once all foliage has completely died back
