Has survived at Beth's, in well-drained gravel for 25 years. Makes a sprawling tangle of stems, carrying narrow, evergreen, strongly aromatic leaves. Slim buds (tightly closed on dull days) show metallic blue-mauve backs to the petals which open to the sun, blushed-white daisies with navy-blue centres. Flowers deepen to pink with age. Blooms continuously on and off all summer. Summer migrant butterfly painted lady in image 2.
