The Californian black sage, is an evergreen, aromatic narrow-leaved, shrub, with whorls of white to lavender flowers in late spring, early summer. Currently trialling with us, it's likely to need a sheltered position to get through our coldest, wettest winters, but in a city or coastal garden it should thrive, or continue to grow in pots & protect over winter.
