Plant of quiet dignity. Curiously grey narrow leaves ascend erect slender stems, topped with spires of close-set small white flowers, long lasting. Finally makes good seedhead of round brown capsules.

Can this plant cope with wet ground in the winter? If not which plants would you suggest?
Lysimachia ephemerum actually likes moisture and will cope with damp soil in winter better than many perennials. It does not like waterlogged, stagnant ground where water just sits; dense clay that stays saturated for weeks or wet + mild winters (this combo increases crown rot risk)
