Androsace strigillosa

An unusual alpine from central Asia. From tight overwintering rosettes, emerge upright stems, topped with umbels of delicate white flowers, pink in bud and on the reverse of the petals. Typically late spring into early summer, but may produce a second or late flush in autumn. Over summer foliage foliage elongates, creating a leafy bed.
