is this a cooking thyme

Answer from

You can cook with Thymus ‘Redstart’, but it’s better thought of as edible-but-ornamental, not a true culinary thyme. It’s usually much milder and less aromatic than culinary thyme (Thymus vulgaris). You may barely taste it in cooking. You can use the leaves as a garnish or mild herb, but it’s not ideal if you want classic thyme flavour.
