Low bushy, spreading plants, clothed in dark green crinkly edged, glossy leaves and short spires of small pink flowers in early summer. A fresh-looking plant amongst greys in dry situations. A real survivor, even in the driest of summers in our gravel garden. Trim over after flowering to create an evergreen cover for the winter.
Although long established and known as Teucrium x lucidrys here at Beth Chatto's, this has quite a different habit to the more upright, rigid stemmed plants that are available with us and elsewhere. For the time being we are defining it as Teucrium x lucidrys Gravel Garden.
