A variable species from the Eastern areas of North America. Ours has tall strong stems which carry throughout their length much divided side branches bearing fluffy bundles of creamy-white flowers, altogether a delightful vertical effect rising above lower plants. Needs careful placing to avoid being toppled by wind, but worth the effort. For full sun and a moist soil. Midsummer.
