Corydalis flexuosa 'Purple Leaf'

Immediately appealing. Low mounds of finely-cut leaves, stained and stroked with patches of reddish-tan, are smothered for weeks in spring and early summer, with clusters of tiny blue tubular flowers warmed with a red tone. Needs friable soil full of humus in cool conditions.
