Although it dies down in winter, it creates a shrub-like effect in summer with many upright, branching stems clothed in glaucous-grey leaves, topped with fat buds, which open huge white poppies, 15 cm across, with crumpled tissue-paper-like petals pinned together with a mass of yellow stamens. Best in a warm, sunny sheltered position. The woody base will travel and young shoots will pop up some distance away so allow space. It resents disturbance.

Hi, would Romneya coulteri grow in dry clay. It has come up in a search for dry soil but there is no mention of it in the details. Thx
Romneya coulteri can grow in dry clay as it is drought-tolerant and thrives in well-draining soil. However, it is important to ensure that the clay is well-drained to prevent root rot.
