An unusual European salvia, with its yellow flowers (streaked rusty orange), though summer into autumn and tolerant of more shade than many other salvias. Beautiful heart-shaped leaves. Foliage and flowers sticky to the touch (glutinosus = sticky). In the wild typically growing in deciduous forest and scrubby areas.
