Ribes speciosum

A striking evergreen shrub, with arching stems dripping with slimmed down fuchsia-like red flowers, from late winter into spring. Lobed, glossy leaves and spiny. Native from California to Mexico, but no issues with hardiness here at Beth's. However, especially for younger plants a position sheltered from the cold will help establishment. Looks fabulous trained against a warm wall.
