Gypsophila paniculata 'Bristol Fairy'

This is an old garden favourite, traditionally grown to put with sweet peas and carnations. I prefer to plant it near something blue, like Agapanthus. It produces a huge tangle of interweaving stems, creating a cloud-like effect in mid-summer when smothered in tiny white flowers. If this plant and G. paniculata 'Flamingo' (the pale pink variety) are trimmed half-way back after flowering, they will produce the show all over again throughout autumn.
