Tall, herbaceous perennial, with trifoliate leaves, stems topped with pea-like pink flowers. Part of the legume family, thus adds nitrogen back into the soil. Does well in richer soils, but with its taproot it will also cope in dry, well-drained conditions. Seeds are very adept at attaching themselves to animal fur and clothing, adding their dispersal.
