Arundo donax 'Macrophylla'

Stout stems, blue green bamboo-like foliage with leaves which are wider and more glaucous than Arundo donax. Plus this tends to make a clump, rather than running.  Panicles of green to purple spikelets appear during the autumn. An architectural presence in a sheltered site. Will grow in most soils but prefers a moisture retentive site.
