Ornithogalum pyrenaicum

Introduced by the Romans and more recently the young shoots were sold as asparagus in Bath, Somerset. A bulbous plant producing long narrow heads, of small, green, star-shaped flowers, a charming vertical to set among mat and cushion plants.
