An early flowering species, somewhat like an erect growing E. myrsinites requiring a sunny well drained site. Buds start to show colour during early spring and flowering reaches a peak a month or so later. Foliafe can show pink hues later in the year. Best in a sheltered position. Harmful if eaten. Skin and eye irritant.
