Rare native (but found through out Europe and spreading to N.Africa & Asia) forming aromatic mounds of rounded pale green hairy leaves on spreading stems. Whorls of tubular striking cerise flowers are held in a hairy whorl throughout summer. well drained soil in sun or light shade. Happy on chalky soils.
