From Cassian Schmidt (Hermannshof Gardens, Germany) comes this almost unknown ornamental grass. Purple, airy tall flower stems, held well above the low tuft of evergreen leaves, in summer. Native from France, souther Europe, the Middle East and into China. Trialling on our exposed sand bank.
