Thalictrum finetii

A new rue to us and a very fine plant. Eye catching flowers of deep lavender, almost the size of  a species clematis, a cousin of course. Stout stems on a compact plant requires a humus rich soil and shelter from drying summer winds. Seldom seen Chinese species.
