Actaea pachypoda

White baneberry, doll's eyes

Elegant clumps of stiff slender stems are furnished with light-green, divided leaves. Spires of fluffy white flowers become spikes of pea-sized white berries in late summer. Each white berry carries a conspicuous black dot and is fastened by a short red swollen stem. Berries are poisonous.
