Makes neat clusters of medium-sized spoon-shaped leaves with finely serrated edges. Winter colour superb, polished dark burgundy surfaces contrast with lighter crimson reverse. Tall stems carry spires of deep-rose, drooping bells in spring. Overall smaller in scale than Bergenia 'Eric Smith'
