Rewilding the mind

It is our absolute pleasure to announce the second Beth Chatto Symposium, ‘Rewilding the Mind’ taking place on 1st & 2nd September 2022.

We have drawn together an exciting combination of leading horticulturists, garden designers, conservationists, landscape architects, developers, planners, academia & local authority interdisciplinary teams, to discuss the meaning, purpose and best practice of ecological and sustainable planting for the 21st century.

‘Rewilding the Mind’ will explore ideas such as sonic rewilding and examine the ethos of rewilding / nature beneficial horticulture, in urban and rural settings, delving into the detail of ecological restoration, biodiversity net gain, afforestation, sustainable design and the reconnective and educational value of therapeutic projects.

We do hope you are able to join us for this special two-day event; Thursday 1st & Friday 2nd September 2022, at the Ivor Crewe Lecture Theatre, University of Essex.

Your ticket will also include an invitation to an exclusive garden party held at Beth Chatto’s Gardens & Nursery, on the Thursday evening.
