Physostegia

The obedient plant, false dragonhead are found on open plains and woods, through North America. Perennials, with narrow leaves and spikes of flowers in pairs, neatly or obediently arranged. Typically pink or white.

With tubular, bilaterally symmetrical flowers, Physostegia species are a magnet for high- to late-summer bees (especially bumblebees and honeybees) in any sunny garden.
